To commemorate its 30th Anniversary, Medik-Link Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd. proudly contributed High-Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation (HFCWO) airway clearance therapy equipment to the ICU Department of Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM).
The on-site handover and commissioning session, held in collaboration with PPUM’s ICU and Biomedical teams, reflected Medik-Link’s continuous commitment to supporting Malaysia’s healthcare professionals — the individuals who care for patients every day with dedication and compassion.

A Message from Our Director
“We decided to introduce the Lifotronic HFCWO system after learning how this therapy can help improve airway clearance in suitable clinical settings.
On a personal note, my late grandmother faced chronic lung issues and often struggled with thick secretions that were difficult to clear. Caring for her gave me a deep appreciation for the challenges that patients, caregivers, and clinicians experience daily.
I personally find this technology helpful in easing airway-clearance routines and reducing manual workloads. My goal is to continue bringing new and helpful innovations to Malaysia that can make a meaningful difference for patients and healthcare professionals.”
— Mr. Foong Kam Seng, Founder and Managing Director of Medik-Link Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd
What is HFCWO Therapy?
HFCWO is a non-invasive airway clearance therapy that assists in loosening and mobilising lung secretions.
The system includes an inflatable vest connected to a device that delivers gentle, rapid vibrations to the chest wall. These oscillations help move mucus toward the larger airways, where it can be naturally expelled or removed according to the patient’s condition and hospital protocol.
How HFCWO Therapy Helps
- Mobilises mucus and secretions: Vibrations applied at controlled frequencies help dislodge retained mucus from airway walls.
- Non-invasive and patient-friendly: The therapy is delivered externally through a vest, helping maintain patient comfort during treatment.
- Reduces manual workload: Compared with traditional techniques such as Chest Physiotherapy (CPT) and lung percussion, HFCWO can help reduce the physical effort required from staff while maintaining consistency across sessions.
- Supports workflow flexibility: Adjustable and standardised settings allow different team members to administer therapy according to established clinical protocols.
